Local Exploring: Devonport
With all the rainy weather we have been having for the last few weeks, the first sign of a dry day I just had to wrap up the small person and get out of the house and into some fresh air. We live relatively close to Devonport, I guess you could call it a naval town? I grew up in Devonport on and off and have spent a lot of time there over the years. It’s a pretty place to visit, albeit a bit out of the way.
We visited the Devonport Craft Market, played at the playground, had fish and chips on Cheltenham Beach then went for a mission up and around North Head before an amble back down the mountain through the quiet, wide streets filled with Victorian villas. Needless to say, we were all very tired from masses of walking.
