The latest issue of Junction Magazine is out! And I know it well, earlier this year I joined the team as their freelance Art Director and I’ve been loving every minute of it. Junction covers all things cool along our little coast, between Puhoi and Waipu. It’s a large format, beautifully presented, stylish publication, printed on delicious stock and is full colour and image rich; it’s also totally free to pick up a copy.
We have so many amazing, talented and clever people in our neck of the woods, so it’s great to be able to jump on a soapbox and tell everyone about them. Each issue has a different main theme, with the April issue being entrepreneurs, corporate events and private functions. What I love most about the mag is that we are a tight knit, little team of 5, producing something that is 100% independent with the help of many talented and local writers, photographers and contributors. My role is to produce everything visual with the mag, including the layout and working closely with our photographers for each of our stories. Each of us love being involved, and I feel very lucky to be able to bring my skills to the table.
Coming out on the last Thursday of the month, you can grab copies in Auckland (Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Herne Bay, Parnell etc.) as well as in our hood all along Puhoi, Matakana, Warkworth, Mangawhai, Langs Beach and Waipu. If you can’t get a physical copy, they are loaded online each month onto Issu for you to peruse. Go check it out!
